Sally Kay Nichols, 80, passed away on September 16, 2024. She was born on April 7, 1944, to Ray and Loah (Hamilton) Fisher in Mystic, Iowa. Sally met her husband, Evan, at a local dance, and they were married on June 1, 1962. Evan and Sally made Pleasant Hill, Iowa, their home raising three girls, one boy and then adopting two grandsons. They enjoyed vacationing and spending time with family. Evan and Sally were married for 49 years when Evan passed away.
Sally retired from the State of Iowa. She enjoyed collecting bells and was a big fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes. She especially loved to watch Caitlyn Clark play basketball.
Sally is survived by her daughters; Lisa (Bill) Schebler and Vicky Kephart; her sons, Rick (Renee), Patrick and Justin (Kelsey); six grandchildren, Jessica, Nick, Onna-Lynn, Tom, Jarod and Jake; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Joe, and many nieces and nephews.
Sally is preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, sister Ethel, and daughter Penny.

A celebration of life will take place on Monday, October 7, at 11:00 a.m. at the Doanes Park Youth Center, with a gravesite service immediately following at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
