Ronald Keith Dubbs (89) died Friday, January 26th, 2024 at Bishop Drum Retirement Center in Johnston, Iowa due to complications from viral pneumonia and covid. Ron was born in Webster City, Iowa and graduated from Indianola High School. He went on to attend college classes at Simpson college but began working for Corwin Cleaners in Des Moines and then for several vending-machine companies in the Des Moines Area, one of which was Kwik Kafe. He married his wife Patty (Marmet) Dubbs in 1954 and they raised four children in the Highland Park area of Des Moines. Ron and Patty were members of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Highland Park. Ron was known for his unique laughter and smile. He enjoyed traveling, coin collecting and good food. Ron is preceded in death by his wife Patty, parents Julian and Elaine and one sister, Diana. He is survived by his brother Jack Dubbs of Des Moines; four children, Steve Dubbs of Fernley, NV; Gregg and Sondi (Shaffer) Dubbs of Waukee; Tim Dubbs and Sumita Jaggar of Santa Cruz, CA; and Angie Dubbs and Daniel Gan of Des Moines. Ron had six grandchildren; Abby (Dubbs) and Jason Greeno, Hannah Dubbs and Aaron Last, Ian and Taylor Dubbs, Azula Jaggar, Zia Jaggar, Julian Kalamaha and five great grandchildren; Emily Eivins, Makenzie Eivins, Sawyer Finn, Lilyth Greeno and Cecelia Last. Memorial will be with immediate family at graveside. The family appreciates your fond memories of Ron and Patty.
