Robert (Bob) Baker was born April 30th, 1943 in Perry, Iowa. The son of John Paul Baker & Jean Baker. He passed at the young age of 80 on Tuesday, June 6th, 2023 at home surrounded by loving family and friends at his side.
Bob grew up in Perry, Iowa and graduated from Perry High School in 1961. In 1963 he began his life long career with John Deere in Ankeny, Iowa. After 32 dedicated years with John Deere he retired only to continue to work for them part-time giving tours of the John Deere plant.
Bob enjoyed to golf, fish, mow on his John Deere tractor and travel. If you needed to find him you just went to his shop where you could find him fixing something or doing his woodworking that he enjoyed, or he would be out talking to one of the neighbors
Bob was a family man that enjoyed life and is survived by his loving wife Sandi Baker, son Bradley (Julie) of Spring, Texas, son Christopher (Char) of Rochester, New York, Lynae (Jon) Millette of Cape Coral, Florida, Dorne (Dawn) Anderson of Pleasant Hill, Iowa, Brancie Anderson of Stuart, Iowa. Bob enjoyed watching his many grandchildren grow; Brady, Brock, Braxton, Briar, Brogan, Mallory, Ian, Paige, Alex, Quincy, Jenna, Dakota, Marisa, Zachary, Tracy, Tommy, Nicholas, Thomasina, Frankie as well as his 25 great-grandchildren along with numerous cousins and other family members.
He is preceded in death by his father John Paul Baker, mother Jean Baker and brother Gary Baker.
A Celebration of life will be held on June 23, 2023 from 5PM-8PM at P.A.R.C. Recreation Center located at 5374 NE 12th Avenue, Pleasant Hill, Iowa 50327 (Pleasant Hill Police Pool)
