Rita was born June 12th, 1950, in Redfield, IA.
She passed away unexpectedly March 15th, 2024, in Adel, IA.
She was feisty and witty, hard on the outside, soft on the inside but she NEVER sugar coated ANYTHING to ANYONE, to many She was known as "Just" Rita, NEVER a dull moment when Rita was around!
She loved planning parties in her younger years which some could get a "bit" wild!
She loved camping, she was a good pool player and had a great voice for karaoke.
She loved collecting chickens and roosters and shopping at any Junk store she could find!
She was an avid book reader; she loved Pink Roses and owned every kitchen GADGET known to man!
She Raised 3 children on her own with the help of her parents.
She was married a few times, but Donald Duke was the love of her life until he left her a widow in 1976.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons, Derek (Amber) Kirk, Heath Kirk and one daughter Monika (Bill) Lemon
And a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was processed in Death by her parents Alva and Lee Brower, Brothers Elvin and Melvyn Cross and many other family members.
