Richard Counley, of Urbandale, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, February 20th at the Veterans Hospital CLC.
He was born in Fort Dodge, IA in 1932. He married Jane Ann in 1950, and they had a son and daughter.
Upon high school graduation he entered the Air Force serving at multiple duty stations including overseas in Germany. He received an Honorable Discharge and entered the business sector encompassing sales in chemical and safety industries.
He was preceded in death by parents, Ernestine and John Counley, spouse Jane Ann, and daughter Cheryl. Surviving is son David and his spouse Nylene, grandson Brett and his spouse Traci and great-grandson Liam, granddaughter Alissa and spouse Meagan and great-granddaughters Kevlyn and Teagan.
Burial of cremated remains will be private at North Lawn Cemetery in Fort Dodge, Iowa at a later date.
