Randall ‘Randy’ Eugene Boyd passed away on March 29th, with his family lovingly by his side. Randy was born on October 30, 1945 to Archie and Lois Boyd. He was one of 6 children and loved his role of being a brother. He greatly valued his time with his siblings. In May of 1976, Randy and Susan ‘Sue’ (Witt) Overman joined their families together. Randy was the loving father to three daughters and one son, and was an excellent grandfather to six grandchildren. His family was his world and he took pride in his role as father and grandfather. Randy held many hats throughout his lifetime. A son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather were just a few of them. Randy was known in the area for his porcelain work as a dental laboratory technician. Randy played the bugle “charge” at hockey games and got the crowd cheering. He loved watching hockey with his family and would share his knowledge of Gretzky whenever he could! He was involved in many bowling leagues and enjoyed spending that time with his wife, kids, and close friends. Some would even call Randy an amateur pool shark, some of his kids’ and grandkids’ best memories of him were spent playing pool in their basement together. If you knew Randy, you knew he was loved for his corny jokes. Whether he knew you personally or not, he was putting a smile on your face with one of his jokes! Randy is survived by his wife Susan Boyd; daughters Stacy (Greg) Lambert, Lisa Fuller, and Lori (Todd) Porter; son Teague (Brandy) Boyd; grandchildren Marinda Fuller, Tera (Aric) Broderick, Seth Mahedy, Jonathan Boyd, and Lucy Boyd. Randy is also survived by his siblings Dan (Sandra) Boyd, Craig (Lea) Boyd, Debra Erickson, Darci (Jack) Rose, and Brent (Linda) Boyd; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Randy is preceded in death by his parents Archie and Lois Boyd; son Todd Boyd; and granddaughter Cassidy Mahedy.
