Paul Dean Boyd, 89, died June 4th, 2024, a beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He is preceded in death by his Wife Lily who passed away August 3rd, 2003, his Mother Mildred Boyd (Dillow), his Father Harry Boyd, his sisters Mary Buchman, Margie Crowley and Alice Willard and his four-legged BFF Mac. His surviving Sister Patty (Jerry) Hartung lives in Missouri. Paul was born October 8th, 1934, in Union County, Illinois. He resided in Clive Iowa for 48 years. Paul served time in the US Army. He then met the love of his life, Lily, while in college at Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville. After his marriage to Lily, Paul went on to achieve his master’s degree from the University of Iowa. Paul retired after over 35 years working for the State of Iowa.
Paul’s marriage to Lily of 43 years gave them the joy of having two children, Bryan Boyd (Ann) of Clive, IA. and Heather Trembly of Waukee, IA, his grandchildren, Ben Trembly, Calen Boyd and Cayla Clark (Brandon), Sara Click, Zach Click and Anna Boyd, and his great grandchildren Kyler and Kellen Boyd, Rya, Sydney, Shaelynn Clark and Michael Miesner.
Paul's committal service with military honors will be held at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive, Adel IA 50003, July 15, 2024, at 9:30am.
