In Loving Memory of Patricia Claybrook

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we say goodbye to our beloved Nana, Patricia Claybrook, who passed away on January 31st, 2025, at the age of 87. Patricia’s life was one of resilience, strength, and unwavering spirit. Despite the many hardships she faced, she always put others before herself- giving freely of her time, love, and whatever she had to offer.

Her quick wit and sense of humor remained with her until the end, always bringing smiles and laughter in the most unexpected ways. Though she could be stubborn at times, it was that strength and fiery spirit that helped her weather the many challenges life handed her.

As one of the hardest-working women you could ever meet, Patricia showed us what it truly means to give everything you have. She dedicated herself fully to everything she did, from working long hours at Firestone, where she held tough labor positions for most of her life, to later working in the insurance industry. She was also a devoted caregiver for many family members and a single mother raising three daughters. She was a caring friend, an incredible grandmother, and someone who never hesitated to do whatever it took. Though she never sought praise for the sacrifices she made, the impact of her efforts was felt deeply by everyone who knew her.

Patricia’s love for music, dancing, and travel was a joyful and essential part of her life. Her impeccable taste in music was contagious—once her foot started tapping and she began to sing, it was impossible not to join in. She knew how to embrace the moment, living life to the fullest through her dancing and her love of a good song.

She went through life with grace, strength, and an unwavering love for her family. Her legacy is one of hard work, generosity, humor, and the importance of finding joy in the little things.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Ray); her sister, Mary; her grandchildren, Ashley (Michael), Chase, Jessica, Danielle, Chris, and Aimee; several nieces and nephews; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Desiree and Julie; her grandchildren, Christine and Jennifer; her brother, Jerry; and her beloved mother, Mary Eloise. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in each of us.

We will forever cherish the lessons she taught us: to work hard, love deeply, and dance like no one’s watching.

Rest in peace, Nana. You were, and always will be, the heart of our family.
