Marcia Glenn passed away peacefully at home on January 13th, 2025. Marcia Glenn (Harriman, Carroll, Follmuth) was born August 13th, 1958, in Albert Lea, MN to Donna (Stolaas) and William Harriman at the Naeve Hospital. On January 13th, 2025, Marcia answered the Lord's call home and to rest. She was 66 years old.Â
Â
She was one of 6 children. She is very involved and devoted to her religious beliefs. In her youth she took great pride in her sports such as basketball and track. She had even made the local newspaper a few times in her life. She boasted about holding school records even for many years. She met her first husband Jim Follmuth, and they married in 1978 shortly after they welcomed a beautiful baby boy named Patrick G Follmuth. Later in life she met Jerry Glenn. They welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Alycia R (Glenn) Kenyon in 1993 and tied the knot in 2002.

Her son Patrick cherishes and remembers her passion and even the peace it brought her to go fishing and camping. He had many funny and cherished moments during these outings. Her daughter remembers her sitting on their old apartment balcony and making homemade dream catchers to embrace her late husband and her daughter's racial and cultural background. She was the life of the party. Many who knew her would describe her as a spitfire. Her sister Michelle would and will say she was just a burst of unpredictable crazy. You would never know what she was going to do. She had a passion, maybe even call it an obsession for all things that were peanut butter, chocolate, and muffins. Her presence was known. There was no way you were going to be around Marcia and not end up belly laughing. She is a bit irreverent and lots of fun. When Marcia loved, she loved so big and deeply. She was a strong-willed, hard-working woman. She had roughly 32 years in corrections/ law enforcement and 18 years at Sally’s Beauty Supply in Altoona, IA to both of which she retired from. She took great pride in her family and especially her 9 grandchildren. She loved going up north to Minnesota to visit her family and friends and especially to visit with her mom. She loved doing crossword puzzles, reading her bible, and blaring her Christian music. Enjoyed swimming with her grandchildren. She loved sharing stories of her past childhood memories with her children and grandchildren. She loved taking her grandchildren to church with her. She loved busting a move at the perfect time.
Â
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Harriman, and Donna Stolaas; her husband, Jerry Glenn; siblings, Patrick Harriman, Shawn Harriman, and Margaret Stadsvold.Â
Â
