Lynda May Meadows

Lynda May Meadows, 70 of Des Moines passed away on August 25th surrounded by family and her Tribe of friends. A celebration of life will take place at another time.

Lynda Meadows changed addresses on August 25th as she moved to a higher plane of existence. The cause of this change was a complete life of giving, loving, and bringing people together, in a way only she could. Lynda believed in the Golden Rule, found tremendous joy in playing her guitar, singing, and writing music, especially on Sunday afternoons with friends. Lynda loved her family dearly, and cherished stories about her grandniece and grandnephew. Lynda had a deep love for her animals and her guitars, who she referred to as her children. She leaves behind a loving caring family, Tribe of friends, and the understanding that the world was a much better place for her having been a part of it.

Lynda is survived by her mother, Mary Meadows; brother, Dana (Terri) Meadows, sister, Charlotte (Victor) Ayers, niece, Miranda (Joel) Ayers-Burkgren, nephew Stuart Meadows and niece Anna Meadows, grandnephew Calvin Ayers-Burkgren and grandniece Amina Zulic, along with a Tribe of devoted and loving friends.

She was proceeded in death by her father, Richard Meadows.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa, or buy a cup of coffee, and download a song that reminds you of her loving soul.
