Keith Allyn Halverson, age 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Keith was born on December 6, 1932, in Williamsburg, Iowa. He was the son of the late Clarence and Isola (Durr) Halverson. Keith married his wife Shirley Rae Chalupa in August of 1958. Keith served as a Sargeant in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956 during the Korean War. He attended the University of Iowa and finished his education at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Keith spent the bulk of his working years at Rockwell Collins. Some of Keith’s interests included traveling, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. Later in his life, Keith enjoyed watching sporting events with his family, listening to audiobooks, and feeding table scraps to his dog, Charlie. Those left to cherish the memory of Keith include his wife, Shirley Halverson, and their two children, Scott Halverson and Peggy Broadie; Keith’s grandchildren, Eric Halverson, Leah Broadie, Sam Halverson, and Evan Halverson; Keith’s brother, Marvyn Halverson, and his children, Kevin Halverson and Kristy Halverson.
Funeral arrangements were made with The Cremation Society of Iowa with burial at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel, Iowa.
