Jim Israel was born on August 4th, 1949. Jim passed away on September 13th, 2023 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Jim was born and raised in Des Moines, IA. He was preceded in death by his father, Blackford Israel, mother, Pauline Israel, and sister, Kim Israel. He is survived by his wife, Tracy Israel (Gruber), sons, Jamey Israel, Shawn Israel, Jeremy Israel, Spencer Mauro, and daughter Allison McCormick (Israel), 15 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Jim was a loving and fun husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He loved sports, fishing, and spending time with his family. A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
