Jane Williams (1937-2023)
Anna “Jane” Williams, age 85, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2023, supported by family members while celebrating her “independence”.
Jane was born on October 20, 1937, in Mt. Pleasant, IA to Merrill (Barney) and Dorothy Isaacson. Jane was united in marriage to Don Williams on June 19, 1955, moving from the family farm in Stockport, IA to Ottumwa, IA.
Jane loved to cook/bake and was well known for her apple pies. She was very artistic and loved painting. Jane was also passionate about bird watching, her “kitties” (Baby and Missy), gardening, and working in her yard.
Jane was a dedicated housewife, mother of three children, and later found passion in the retail business before retiring.
Jane is survived by two of her children, Kriss Williams (Stockport, IA) and Teresa Fenton (Altoona, IA), and her younger sister, Carolyn Church (Walter) of Salem, IA. Grandchildren: Nathan (Emily) Williams, Blake (Melissa) Fontanini, Whitney (Brandon) Thompson, and seven great-grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life at Spencer Cemetery in Stockport, IA on July 21st at 1:00 pm. Jane is preceded in death by her parents (Merrill and Dorothy Isaacson), son (Kevin Williams), and husband (Don Williams).
