Helen Hall passed away peacefully Saturday, January 13, 2024
Helen was born March 29, 1931 in Percy, Iowa to Walter and Mae Quick. She attended country school as a young girl and graduated from Dallas High School. She married Robert M. Hall and they raised their 4 girls in Melcher-Dallas, Iowa.
Helen loved the outdoors and spent many years deer, turkey and mushroom hunting. She tended a large garden, canning much of her produce and sharing it with family and friends. She had many flower beds and loved her day lilies – so did the deer!
She was an accomplished seamstress, sewing many clothes for her girls. She loved to quilt, embroider and crochet. We will cherish the things she made for us.
Helen is survived by her daughter Sherri (Hall) Sinclair, grandchildren, Justin Vander Ecken, Savannah Light and Brady Sinclair. Two sisters also survive, Ruth (Dick) Luett and Nellie (Darrell) Wertz and many nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her daughters Lynn Hall, Amy (Hall) Light, Lori Hall and baby boy Jeffrey, granddaughter Kelli (Sinclair) Sly, great-grandson Gavin Sly, her parents, brothers Ralph (Florence) Quick, Donald (Marvy) Quick, Bill (Bev) Quick, Lee (Barb) Quick and sisters Louise (Cecil) (Quick) Smith, Bernice Quick, Norma Jean Quick and Virginia Grace Quick.
Per her request, Helen was cremated and no services are planned.
