Frank Anthony Domanico, age 79, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Care Initiatives Care Center, State Center, Iowa after a long battle with cancer. He had a great love for the game of golf and would play it every day if time and weather permitted.
Frank also served his country as a United States Marine. He served during the Cuban missile crisis and was deployed on a naval ship off the coast of Cuba awaiting orders to go ashore, which never materialized.
Frank was born in Osceola, Iowa on July 4, 1944. Frank was a salesman most of his life. He had that charismatic personality that allowed him to never meet a stranger. When Frank met you, he acted as though he was going to know you every day for the rest of his life. Frank was the oldest of five children born to Eugene Domanico, Spokane, Washington, and Helen Ann Companion of Des Moines. He is survived by his daughter Tiffany Fried, of Des Moines, his younger sister Melody Domanico of St. Paul, Minnesota and the Twins, Joy Funaro of Sacramento, California and Joe Domanico of Des Moines, Iowa and his brother Jon of Spokane who is deceased and stepbrother Jason Domanico of Prosser Washington. He has many nephews and nieces.
We will miss Frank very much with his great sense of humor, quick wit and colorful personality.
Inurnment will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the Iowa Veteran Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa.
