Edward “Ed” Perry, 78, passed away on June 1, 2022, at Every Step Kavanagh House. A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 11th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm starting with a brief service.
Ed was born to Virgil and Margaret (Calkins) Perry on April 28, 1944, in Shenandoah, Iowa. He attended grade and high school in Shenandoah, Iowa. Ed graduated from Tarkio College in Tarkio, MO and Dubuque Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. Ed continued his education in the health care field. He worked for Broadlawns and Mercy Hospitals.
Ed had many hobbies enjoying camping, woodworking, reading, fishing, hiking and building construction. He was known for his gentleness, caring and compassionate ways.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents Virgil Wayne Perry, Margaret May (Calkins) Perry, brother David Perry.
Ed is survived by his wife, Christine “Chris” Perry, sister-in-law, Michelle Stanley and husband Mike, brothers Bruce, William and Richard Perry, special friend, Patty Palmer, and many nieces and nephews.
