Douglas Edwin Kurtz
Douglas was the son of Leonard and Diana Kurtz of Sioux City, Iowa, born April 15, 1964. Douglas was cremated and went to be with his Lord on February 24, 2022 at the age of 57 years old.
Douglas loved working with wood and had worked for several years in the construction and remodeling business. Douglas also loved raising a garden that he and his wife could can the vegetables in the fall to fill their pantry.
Douglas is survived by his wife of 16 years, Rhonda of Des Moines, 2 sons, Zed and Zach Kurtz of Sioux City; 1 step-son Christopher (Bobbi) Flannery ,3 step grandsons, Rayne, Erein, Carl; 1 step grand-daughter, Casidee and 1 step great-grand-daughter AnnaLeigh all of Des Moines. Douglas is also survived by 2 sisters; Kelly (Scott) Fravel, Carol (Tom) Chytka, 1 brother Ron Kurtz and several nieces and nephews.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. A graveside service at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Des Moines to be held at a later date.
