Debra Anne Edwards went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
Debra was born to Shannon Jr. and Bonita Ruth (Houck) Edwards. She graduated from Faith Bible College and was a Christian day schoolteacher in Indiana, Iowa, and Florida. She finished her career in the Ankeny school system as a substitute teacher. Her joy was in serving in the local church and as a Senior Companion.
Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Martha Marie Shannon Edwards, Debra Ranae Bonita Edwards, and Raene RuthAnn Edwards, four brothers, Charles Dean, Rodney Eugene, Gary Ray, Edwin Keith and one sister, LaVeta Ruth Edwards Bigner and three grandchildren, Julisia Cheyann Tison, Emelia Rose Crawford, Tristan Alexander Kenneth Crawford.
Deb was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
Celebration of Life will be Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Grace Church, 4200 E. 25th St., Des Moines, IA 50317.
