Carmen LeAnn Klaver

Carmen LeAnn Klaver, 74, died Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Karen Acres Healthcare Center. A private graveside service will be held at the Presbyterian Cemetery in Kamrar, Iowa at a later date. There will be no visitation. Carmen was born on May 3, 1950. She was the daughter of Richard George Klaver and Doris Elaine (Hendrickson) Klaver. She was later adopted by Bernard Klaver. Carmen was raised on a farm near Kamrar, Iowa. She graduated from Northeast Hamilton High School in 1968 and continued her education at Estherville Community College. After graduation, she worked in Des Moines and then moved to Houston, Texas to work at Crane Supply. She returned to Iowa living in Fort Dodge and later moving to Waukee in 2008. 

 

Carmen loved her two pet cats as well as horses. She enjoyed puzzle books of all kinds and had a sizable collection of pens, pencils, markers, and colors. She spent much of her time listening to music and watching crime shows and the Home and Gardening Television.  Carmen found great pleasure in the small joys of sweet iced tea and chocolate milk!

 

Carmen is survived by her sisters Pam Sheehan of Des Moines and Gretchen (Don) Bailey of Waukee; nieces Katherine Sheehan, Janelle (Dave) Curry, Olivia Bailey (Jeremy Hagan); nephews Kurt Campbell, Christopher (Becky) Campbell, Stephen (Julie) Campbell, Nathan (Laura) Bailey, Noah (Jenny) Bailey; and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Diane Alborn, and niece Kasandra Johnk.
