Betty Lou Southern passed away October 17,2023.
Betty was born to Ivan and Lucille Lacey November 3, 1936 in Corydon, IA.
Betty married the love of her life April 8, 1952, Lester Ralph Southern.
Betty and Ralph have a storybook love! They raised three beautiful daughters. Ralph and Betty lived in many states before settling down in Des Moines Iowa.
Betty enjoyed spending time with her friends, family, and her husband. You could find Betty most often outside in her yard tending to her garden or sitting in the house reading a book.
Betty leaves behind her wonderful husband Ralph, daughters: Diana Olsen (Jim), Elaine Southern Thomas (Sam), Kelly Burgess. Betty had four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, sister Florence, grandson Steven James Olsen, and son in law Butch Burgess.
